Thanks to the internet, anyone can find out about anything at the touch of a few keys. Expert knowledge is no longer reserved for experts and you ordinary Joe Soap can inform her/himself on any topic. This is particularly great if you need to consult professionals. If you educate yourself prior to your consultation, you will be in a much better position. You will know what aspects to mention, what questions to asks and you will be able to show your professional your own expertise.
If I meet a client who’s done a bit of research and knows what she/he is talking about, my approach is completely different.
The trouble is, a lot of the online information is gibberish and non-educational. It is reserved for a select few and this is where a website like mine comes in. We aim to educate the public and matters they traditionally didn’t know about.
I spent a couple of years trolling the internet for “how to” videos, articles and web content. To my amazement, you can learn just about anything. On the back of this mind-blowing discovery, I decided to start my own blog with the aim of education the larger public about money and finance in an easy-to-understand fashion. The reaction has been great. Many readers are grateful that, at last, someone has burst the business bubble.
Thankfully, I have also been able to publish great guest posts of similar tone on my website. These contributions have made my blog better and more interesting.
If you believe in educating people about money and would like to submit a guest post for publication, please fill in the contact form at the bottom of this page or send an email to email@example.com.
What You Can Write About
When you submit a guest post for publication, please make sure your language is plain and simple. I don’t want any fancy terminology or insider knowledge, I want the opposite. What you are trying to do is write on a topic of interest to the general public. Write in a way that everyone will understand.
Obviously, my background is in finance, and money is what my website is all about. Here are some specific topics I like to cover:
- Big Business and Corporations
- Credits and Loans
- Car Loans
- Financial News
- Investment Ideas
- Making Money Ideas
- Money Saving Tips
- Small Business
- Stock Trading Info
Pick one of the above listed topics and come up with a title like:
- Knowing More Than Your Insurance Broker
- Understanding Stocks and Bonds
- How to Get Your Bank to Reduce Banking Charges
Learning and Educating Through Blogging
Bloggers are the new educators. They teach you how to cook, where to go on holidays, how to fix your car, how to make money, how to set up a business and how to do everything else too. My blog is about teaching people about money and how it all works.
I’ve been on a steep learning curve ever since I started blogging. While I have published lots of informative and educational money posts, I have also learned tonnes of stuff from other bloggers. I dare say you could get a whole education just by going online.
The Blogging Process
When you decide to write a blog post, you first have to come up with a title. Once you’ve picked, you put a basic structure in place and go on to research your topic to make sure you know enough. Then, you start writing, trying to get all your points across in a simple way. Once you are done, you send it off for review and wait to get some feedback. You may need to make some changes to perfect your post but that can be done quickly.
If you have never blogged before and fancy having a stab at it, this is your chance. Remember, your post will be read by thousands of people so this is a great opportunity. We will help you as much as we can and you may very well go on to become a professional blogger.
